FORGE Supervisor Program

We are excited to share an opportunity to support the supervisors on your team through the FORGE Supervision Program, a new learning experience designed specifically for supervisors who are early in their journey at Pitt. FORGE kicks off in August 2026 and will conclude in May 2027. The program is designed to further develop supervisory skills through real experience, allowing participants to Face real challenges, Openly reflect, Relate to others, Grow, and Evolve their practices.

Program Details

  • Monthly 60–90 minute cohort learning sessions with fellow supervisors
  • 1:1 mentor conversations with experienced supervisors from the Dietrich School & CGS before each session
  • Guided reflections and peer learning built into every meeting
  • Hands-on role play activities focused on real supervisory challenges

Topics covered across the nine sessions include transitioning from peer to supervisor, managing different work styles, communication, and connection, inspiring performance, leading through challenges, navigating ambiguity, and more!

Who to nominate:

As a pilot program, we are looking for 10 supervisors with 5 years or less of supervision experience at Pitt who would benefit from additional support as they grow in their roles.
