The Writing Program launches "3 Sisters" publication

Tonight, Monday, April 27, at 5 pm, the Dietrich School’s Writing Program celebrates the launch of their new publication, 3 Sisters Issue 1 (Spring 2026), at White Whale Books. Nearly all the contributors will read from their work both in person and over Zoom. Pizza and dessert are to be provided.

The Writing Program is proud to publish work in/between/across literary arts genres, including works from a wide range of folks, including one undergrad!

The call for submissions for this inaugural issue’s theme was:

3 Sisters invites work in conversation with our namesake and its various associations: waterways, river systems, triptych, triads, triangles, triplets, tercets, terza rima, three-leggedness, sorority, sisterhood, holy trinity, fate, mythology, suspension, confluence, repetitive folklore, and multiplicity. We accept work from all genres, including but not limited to fiction, non-fiction, poetry, art, mixed media, essay, video pieces, computational work, audio offerings, objects, and more. We are especially interested in hybrid works, work that falls in between genres, and pieces that are not easily categorized. As an online publication we are excited to showcase works that utilize the digital format in unique ways.

The event will be held both in person and on Zoom.
