Join the Department of Gender, Sexuality, and Women's Studies for:
"Bearing Witness: What Grief Teaches Us About Solidarity, Activism, and What We Can Do Now" with Dr. Z. Nicolazzo
The event takes place on Tuesday, February 4 at 3 pm at the CUE Commons rooms 4310 and 4316.
"Current activism is often caricatured through the personification of anger. Raised fists, people yelling, and the like. While anger has and will continue to take a central role in shaping radical movements for freedom, there are more complex ways one can understand activist affects beyond this flat rendering. In this talk, Dr. Nicolazzo discusses how grief may be helpful for thinking about how, with whom, and toward what ends we engage in movements for justice."
Registration is required.
