Jonathan Callard, part-time instructor in the Dietrich School’s Department of English, was recently published in PublicSource. Callard’s article, ‘Family together’: What Clairton’s football coach and his city taught me about love, chronicles how some of his Pitt students helped inspire a new non-fiction book he is writing about family and football. Callard says that after reading about three of his students’ hometown of Clairton and their former high school football team, he decided to travel to the city to see what it was all about.
