Mark J. Bullock

Mark currently serves as a Sponsored Projects Administrator in the pre-award capacity for the Departments of Psychology and Neuroscience, as well as all departments in the Division of the Humanities within the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences.  His primary responsibilities include compiling information for grant and contract applications for his departmental portfolio, budget development, working in online systems such as PERIS, Fastlane, Research.gov, Grants.gov, and overseeing the proposal process from start to finish.  Before becoming part of the Dietrich School in the Fall of 2017, Mark began his journey with the University of Pittsburgh as a Post-Award Administrator with the Department of Pediatrics, based at UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh in Lawrenceville.  He worked previously as an Accounts Receivable clerk and Customer Claims Agent for Utility Service Partners in Canonsburg.

Mark is a graduate of Allegheny College, Meadville, Pennsylvania and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature.  Outside of the work, Mark and his wife Natalie have been married for almost 12 years.  They have an 8-year-old daughter, Margo, and are also parents to two doggos, Sophie and Gary.  Mark’s hobbies include jazz and lo-fi drumming, music, DIY, building construction, gardening, cooking, classic as well as silent films (especially Buster Keaton) just to name a few.
