Dr. Ruth Mostern, the World History Center Director and professor in the Dietrich School’s Department of History has been named the Vice President of the World History Association (WHA). Being the Vice President also means that Dr. Mostern is the WHA’s President-elect and will succeed the current president in 2026.
The WHA’s goal is to promote world history by encouraging teaching, research, publications, and personal interactions. The World History Center hosted the WHA’s annual conference at the University of Pittsburgh in 2023.
