Dietrich School Professor Elected President of Arab Council for the Social Sciences

Mohammed Bamyeh, professor in the Dietrich School's Department of Sociology, has been elected president of the Arab Council for the Social Sciences (ACSS). Headquartered in Beirut, Lebanon, ACSS oversees the largest and most active social science network in the Arab region, and through numerous fellowship and grants programs has thus far supported hundreds of social science researchers in 22 Arab countries and among diaspora communities of scholars.
