The Dietrich School congratulates Pitt’s two 2024 Goldwater Scholars: Oluwatofunmi Abiola and Richard Fang. This prestigious award celebrates college sophomores and juniors who are intending to pursue research careers in the natural sciences, mathematics, and engineering.
Oluwatofunmi is a junior in the Frederick Honors College and Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences where she is studying neuroscience, with a minor in economics. She has been recognized for neuropsychiatric research.
Richard is a junior in the Dietrich School and Frederick Honors College where he is minoring in chemistry, computer science, and global health. has been honored for his multidisciplinary research in sociology and molecular biology.
