Dietrich School Undergraduate Wins Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship

Dietrich School undergraduate David Leftwich, a junior pursuing a double majoring in political science and psychology along with a certificate in global studies, is one of 10 college juniors in the nation selected for the prestigious Thomas R. Pickering Fellowship. 

David will receive two years of financial support for his senior year and first year of graduate school, and mentoring and professional development to prepare him for a career in the Foreign Service. In addition, he will complete a domestic internship at the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. and an overseas internship at a U.S. embassy. This award is funded by the Department of State and administered by The Washington Center for Internships and Academic Seminars.
