Arts and Sciences Students Recognized by NSF 

Thirteen graduate and undergraduate students representing a number of School of Arts and Sciences departments are among the University of Pittsburgh students to be recognized by the National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellowship Program. The program supports outstanding individuals in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics disciplines who are currently pursuing or will pursue research-based master’s and doctoral degrees in the U.S. and abroad. 

The 2010 NSF GRFP honorees in the undergraduate category are:

In addition, three Arts and Sciences undergraduate alumni, Timothy Adamo (A&S ’09), Joshua Bagley (A&S ’06), and Timothy Sampson (A&S ’08), received NSF GRFP awards to support their graduate studies at, respectively, Oxford, University of California at San Francisco, and Emory University.
