Nancy M. Targett (A&S ’72) Awarded 2021 Dietrich School Distinguished Professional Achievement Award

In recognition of her remarkable professional achievements, we are pleased to award Nancy M. Targett (A&S ’72) with a 2021 Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences Distinguished Professional Achievement Award.

For those from the Chemistry Department, this comes as no surprise since this award follows a 2014 Distinguished Alumni Award in Chemistry. With this larger Dietrich School level award, we recognize Nancy’s remarkable career trajectory in academia. Beginning as a faculty member, Nancy rose to be a senior administrator at both the University of Delaware and the University of New Hampshire. Nationally, Nancy is a well-respected ocean scientist and researcher. Her knowledge and leadership has benefitted the Consortium for Ocean Leadership, the National Sea Grant Program, and the National Academy of Science.  In her role with AGB Search, Nancy continues to enhance the field of higher education.

For these reasons and more, we are excited to honor Nancy M. Targett.
