The Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences recognizes John Blystone (A&S ’75) as one of its most successful and distinguished graduates by awarding him with a 2020 Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences Distinguished Professional Achievement Award. Over his career, John has demonstrated extensive business experience in managing and operating both domestic and international operations. John has served as the Chairman, President, and CEO of SPX Corp after a long career in various managerial and operational roles of the General Electric Company, including serving as President and CEO of Nuovo Pignone and Europe Plus Pole. In addition to these highlights, John has been an impactful addition to many boards of directors.
