Bernard R. Siskin Awarded 2020 Dietrich School Distinguished Professional Achievement Award

In recognition of his remarkable professional achievements, we are pleased to award Bernard “Bernie” Siskin (A&S ’65) with a 2020 Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences Distinguished Professional Achievement Award.

Bernie has been awarded the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences Distinguished Professional Achievement Award in recognition of being one of the school’s most successful and distinguished graduates. For many years, Bernie taught statistics at Temple University and served as Chairman of the Department of Statistics.  Bernie is known for his specialization on the application of statistics in law, and has supplied expert testimony in over 200 legal cases.  In addition, Bernie has written and lectured extensively on the use of statistics in litigation. Bernie is a sought-after statistical consultant for many groups, including the U.S. Department of Justice, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, the U.S. Department of Labor, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and the Central Intelligence Agency, to name a few.

For these reasons and more, we are excited to honor Bernie Siskin.
