The University of Pittsburgh’s School of Arts and Sciences is the largest Pittsburgh-area graduate school program. We offer MA, MS, MFA, and PhD programs in 34 concentrations, as well as a wide range of interdisciplinary programs.

Though he is a new to his position as Assistant Professor in the Department of Theatre at Western Michigan University (WMU), Lofton “Lofty” Durham (A&S ’09 G) has an extensive resume that reflects his diverse role as administrator, scholar, historian, and working artist. Durham, who is currently teaching script analysis and theater history, is thrilled to be part of the faculty at Western Michigan, where the theatre department awards BFA degrees in Performance, Design and Technical Theatre, Stage Management, and Music Theatre Performance. Chemistry student Krist Gogick earns Mary E. Warga Predoctoral Fellowship

With a strong, lifelong interest in science Kristy Gogick (A&S G '12) is taking her passion for research and playing an active part in a collaboration with the Hillman Cancer Center as a doctoral candidate in Pitt's Department of Chemistry. SSHRC awards doctoral fellowship to history student Nicole Bourbonnais

Nicole Bourbonnais has been awarded a Doctoral Fellowship by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. The SSHRC Doctoral Fellowships program aims to develop research skills and assist in the training of highly-qualified personnel by supporting students who demonstrate a high standard of scholarly achievement in the social sciences and humanities.
