Casual Walking

Contact: Erin Delaney

A casual walking group for those who want to do a little more exercise but sometimes have trouble finding the time, place, or company for it. Lace-up your shoes and see campus from a different perspective, explore new paths in Oakland, and get to know others.

Sports Fan

Contact: Stacey Williard

A group where fans of the Panthers, Steelers, Penguins, Pirates, and Riverhounds can gather to watch games together and talk all things sports in the City of Champions. As Jimmy Fallon said, "If you're a sports fan you realize that when you meet somebody they kind of have to root for your team. They don't have a choice."

Softball Team

Contact: Eryka Wilson

Calling all Dietrich School staff and faculty members who have a passion for softball! Our team is designed to bring together individuals from diverse academic and administrative backgrounds who share a love for the game. Whether you're a seasoned player or a beginner looking to have some fun, this team provides a fantastic opportunity to connect with colleagues, foster camaraderie, and enjoy the sport of softball.

Our team encourages a welcoming and inclusive environment, where everyone's skill level is respected and celebrated. Whether you excel in batting, pitching, or fielding, we value each member's contribution and believe that teamwork is the key to success. We prioritize friendly competition and aim to create an atmosphere that fosters both personal and professional growth.

Joining the Dietrich School Staff and Faculty Softball Shared Interest Team offers several benefits. Besides the physical activity and the joy of playing softball, this is an opportunity to form lasting friendships and expand your professional network within the university community. It's a chance to connect with colleagues from various departments and disciplines, building relationships beyond the confines of the office.

Our team will participate in practices, social outings, and the Pittsburgh Sports League softball and Pitt’s own internal softball league. Whether you're looking to refine your technique, stay active, or simply unwind after a long day, this group provides the perfect platform to pursue your softball passions.

So, lace up your cleats, grab your glove, and join us on the field! Together, we'll create memorable experiences, strengthen our connections, and enjoy the thrill of playing softball while representing our university staff and faculty. Let's swing for the fences and have a ball!
