Two Dietrich School Advisors Receive 2024 Ampco-Pittsburgh Prize

Dietrich School faculty members Jaclyn Kurash and Andrew Lotz have been awarded the 2024 Ampco-Pittsburgh Prize for Excellence in Advising.

For nearly 20 years, the Ampco-Pittsburgh Prize has been given to outstanding academic advisors at the Dietrich School and the College of General Studies. This award is funded by the Fair Oaks Foundation, the philanthropic arm of the Ampco-Pittsburgh Corporation. It was established by Robert Paul, Chairman Emeritus of Ampco-Pittsburgh and an emeritus trustee of Pitt.

In addition to serving as advisors, Kurash, a teaching associate professor in the Department of German, and Lotz, a teaching professor in the Department of Political Science, wear many hats in their home departments and within the Dietrich School. Kurash is Director of Undergraduate Studies, Study Abroad Advisor, and Faculty Supervisor of the German Student Ambassador Program. Lotz is Director of Undergraduate Studies and Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Studies.

Kurash and Lotz will be celebrated at a reception on February 27.
