Physics and Astronomy Senior Lecturer Wins 2018 Ampco-Pittsburgh Prize

Russell Clark, Senior Lecturer in the Dietrich School's Department of Physics and Astronomy, is the recipient of the Ampco-Pittsburgh Prize for Excellence in Advising. Clark is the sole undergraduate advisor for all physics and astronomy majors. He is the department's Lab Supervisor, and has overall responsibility for the operation of the undergraduate teaching laboratories, including the responsibility of training all graduate teaching assistants for lab courses. Clark teaches introductory courses in the department including Physics 0110, 0111, 0174, 0175, 0212, and 0219.

The Dietrich School's Ampco-Pittsburgh Prize is an annual award recognizing outstanding faculty academic advising of the school''s undergraduate students.
