Two Arts and Sciences Faculty Members Honored with 2010 Chancellor’s Distinguished Research Awards

Colin MacCabe, Distinguished University Professor in the Department of English, and Thomas Hales, Mellon Professor of Mathematics, have been selected to receive 2010 Chancellor’s Distinguished Research Awards in the Senior Scholar category.

Senior Scholar Awardees include faculty members who have compiled a substantial and continuing record of outstanding research and scholarly activity. Nominees in this category must have achieved preeminence in their field and be so recognized in letters of support from national and international leaders in the field. 2010 honorees will be publicly recognized during the 2010 Honors Convocation on Friday, February 26.
