Pitt Alumni Association Elects New Slate of Officers To Serve 2010-12 Term

PITTSBURGH—Jack D. Smith (A&S ’69, MED ’73), an orthopaedic surgeon in Greensburg, Pa., was elected president of the University of Pittsburgh Alumni Association, and Jane Bilewicz Allred (A&S ’71), a marketing firm president from Phoenix, Ariz., was named president-elect at the association’s annual board meeting. 

Pitt Alumni Trustee F. James McCarl III (CGS ’73), chief executive officer, president, and board chair of The McCarl Group, LLC, assumes the role of immediate past president of the Alumni Association’s board. Pitt Alumni Trustee and Director Emeritus Brian Generalovich (A&S ’66, DEN ’68), a dentist in Hermitage, Pa., who lettered in Pitt football in 1964, is the alumni board’s past president.
