Study Skills Support
Study Skills Workshops
The Academic Resource Center hosts Study Skills Workshops on a regularly scheduled basis during each semester. Many students find our free workshops to be the right answer. You will learn strategies needed to improve your memory, manage your time, prepare for exams, read texts and take notes effectively.
To sign up for a free study skills workshop or meet for an individual appointment, call the ARC office at 412-648-7920 or stop by G-1 GSCC.
Study Groups
We provide assistance to small groups of students who want to develop their own study groups covering a particular course. We can help you organize this kind of activity through our study skills program. We will meet with your group to assist with the creation of a template and set guidelines for how your group will function. We’ll even host your study group at the ARC.
