Academic Counseling
If you’re on probation (GPA below 2.0), you will receive a letter from the School of Arts and Sciences telling you to get the assistance of an academic intervention specialist. Don’t panic—you’re not alone. The academic intervention specialists, who work in the Academic Resource Center, know proven strategies that have helped other students. They also make referrals to other on-campus resources.
In addition, the ARC has an entire program designed to improve your grades, including a study skills workshop and a non-credit course to help you learn more about making good decisions, exploring life goals, and increasing your motivation level in college and beyond.
To schedule an appointment or find out about peer support, call the Academic Resource Center at 412-648-7920.
