Anthony and Concetta Ambrosio Internship Award

The Award

The School of Arts and Sciences invites undergraduate Arts and Sciences students to apply for an award of $5,000 to support an unpaid summer academic internship at CBS Corporation in New York City, New York.

Eligibility

Applications will be accepted from any Arts and Sciences undergraduate student who

  • is a junior or senior
  • has a minimum GPA of 3.0
  • is majoring in one of the following disciplines: Communications, Film Studies, English, History, Political Science, Computer Science, or Economics.
  • has had at least one internship experience (for credit or for pay)

Application Requirements

  • Résumé (include information about previous internship)
  • Research Paper (a research paper of at least 10 pages in length, which was submitted for a course)
  • Statement of Interest (one-page statement about why the student chose his/her major, student’s goals, and why the internship would further these goals)
  • Unofficial transcript(s) for all college-level coursework
  • Professional Reference Form: A completed recommendation form from a supervisor at an internship or other work experience (someone to whom the student reported and was most responsible for the oversight or evaluation of the intern’s work)
  • Faculty Reference Form: from a professor (requests reference information from a faculty member)

The recipient of the award is expected to live in New York City during the summer of the internship.

Deadline for submission

Completed applications should be sent by Friday, January 11, 2008 to the Office of Experiential Learning, B-4 Thaw Hall.
