Leadership and Service
We in the Arts and Sciences believe that every student in our school has the responsibility to use her or his Pitt degree to become an engaged citizen. We also believe that the breadth of a liberal arts education best informs the next generation of visionary leaders in society. Becoming involved in our community is an excellent step to hone your leadership and service skills. We also offer a leadership certificate for students interested in developing their strategic planning, people management, and communication skills.

Honors

Sophomore Honors Reception
Each fall, the Arts and Sciences Associate Dean’s Office hosts a reception to honor those students who have earned 30 credits or more and have a GPA of 3.50 or better. Eligible students receive notification by way of an invitation to the reception.
