Three School of Arts and Sciences Faculty Win 2009 Provost's Awards for Excellence in Mentoring

Four members of the University of Pittsburgh faculty are recipients of the 2009 Provost's Award for Excellence in Mentoring, an award that recognizes faculty for their mentoring of doctoral students. The winners—three in the School of Arts and Sciences—were selected from a pool of nominees whose names were submitted by Pitt doctoral students and faculty. The awardees will be honored from 3 to 5 p.m. April 7 at a reception in the Lower Lounge of the William Pitt Union, 3959 Fifth Ave., Oakland.
