A. Robin Hoffman wins Children's Literature Association's 2009 Graduate Student Essay Award

A. Robin Hoffman, a doctoral student in the Department of English, is this year's winner of the Children's Literature Association's Graduate Student Essay Award.

Her essay, "Holiday House, Childhood, and the End(s) of Time," was submitted to the national competition by Professor Marah Gubar and selected by a panel of children's literature scholars.

Hoffman is invited to submit her winning essay to one of ChLA's journals and to present it at the ChLA's annual conference in June.
