English Alumnus Jeffrey Galin Received Florida Atlantic University's President's Leadership Award

Jeffrey Galin is an associate professor of English at Florida Atlantic University where he specializes in composition, literacy, technology, and intellectual property. He was selected to receive the school's President's Leadership Award for his effective leadership as Director of the University Center for Excellence in Writing and Writing Across the Curriculum program.

In his award letter to Galin, President Frank T. Brogan states, "There can be no higher application of one's talents and abilities than to use them in the service of others. You are an inspiration to your colleagues at Florida Atlantic University and an asset of great value to the community."

Galin, who earned his PhD at the University of Pittsburgh, has co-edited The Dialogic Classroom: Teachers Integrating Computer Technology, Pedagogy, and Research and the collection, Teaching/Writing in the Late Age of Print. At FAU he teaches courses in composition, intellectual property, literacy theory, and literary productions.
