University Policies (Rights, Responsibilities, and Settling Grievances)
As you become fully engaged in your graduate studies it is important for you to be aware of university policies that could affect you, as well as procedures for addressing problems that may arise. You should familiarize yourself with all of the policies posted online on the School of Arts and Sciences' Web page. This includes the Graduate Student Handbook. Be aware that your department may also have certain policies and procedures that you need to know as well.
Here is a brief summary of the principal university policies relating to fundamental rights and responsibilities of students and faculty that you should review immediately. All students with TA/TF/GSA and GSR appointments will receive policy statements with their initial contracts for financial assistance.
