Before You Arrive: Money Matters
One thing you should be aware of is that University of Pittsburgh employees get paid once a month on the last business day of the month. This means that if you have a TA/TF/GSR or other appointment that goes through university payroll, you will not get your first paycheck (or stipend) until the end of September. That means September is a pretty lean month for most of us. Plan ahead.
